INITIAL EXAMINATION
Your initial examination will consist of a thorough case history, postural analysis, orthopaedic and neurological tests and subluxation assessment.
Subluxation is a spinal misalignment causing nerve irritation.
Radiographic or ultrasound pictures may be required and a report of findings
will usually be presented before commencing an adjustment program.
YOUR PROGRAM OF CARE HAS THREE STAGES
Initial
Intensive Care: aims to reduce or eliminate symptoms such as aches or pains,
pins and needles or numbness. Symptoms are the warning bells that often indicate
an underlying subluxation that has existed for some time.
Rehabilitative Care: aims to help retrain underlying muscle and soft tissue
damage and reverse these subluxation.
Maintenance Care: is dependent on your age condition and lifestyle. These checkups
aim to progressively keep you at your optimum function. By having a wellness
approach that includes exercises, dietary changes and an understanding of a
healthy lifestyle, we believe that you are giving your body the best possible
chance of achieving your health potential.
YOUR BODY’S HEALING RESPONSE
The changes
that your body experiences during your chiropractic care will vary from person
to person. Some people feel immediate changes either with pain or symptom
relief. Some people do not ‘feel’ a difference and occasionally
your body may respond in a way that has you ‘feeling’ not so
good. These are all normal responses. If you are at all concerned by any
changes you are experiencing, please talk to us.
We ask you to take responsibility for your health. If you choose to follow
through with the program, our approach is to get under control the underlying
degeneration, not just pain relief.
SPINAL CARE CLASS
Special appointments are held at the clinic. You are invited to bring along a friend or spouse to hear the chiropractor share the secrets of good health and how to enhance the healing process. Please enquire with the chiropractic receptionist for bookings.
